I understand. Bots are like junkfood; cheap, easy, but never filling like a real meal or a real person in any way.

You don't have to be ashamed about using bots. Bots as just more available but not as surprising and unexpected as a person having independent thoughts that add on to the role play and keep things interesting.

I find just chatting to be as satisfying as concocting role play situations, because you're lucky to find a partner with the same niche interests (and preferences) as your own. Plus there's the issues of time zones and r/l work schedules as mentioned above.

So yes, nothing wrong with trying AI for role playing, though I haven't done so myself. Where I assume it's much easier to guide proceedings to suit your own tastes etc.

Nice to see you around again btw. We have spoken privately in the past, but a lot of water has passed under the bridge since then. So I hope things are going well with you.

I remember when Lascivious posted on Minimizer's board that she was thinking about killing herself rather than dealing with another year of school. She was banned! (Nice way to treat someone who's suicidal.) And Dorian supported that banning. Thankfully Lascivious eventually posted on the SWastika. (Hopefully she didn't get banned from there as well.)

Erm yeah, thanks for bringing up my cringey past lol. I was a teenager hardly above 18, as I recall, and quite dramatic. I would never have used such strong language if I had an ounce of maturity back then. Also what is the SWastika? Dorian and I are quite close these days. My main issue, albeit a funny one, is how stereotypical AI makes any dominant male character. I swear the LLM pulls prose directly from Ao3 and Wattpad lmao. It's always "his voice was a low rumble - like iron wrapped in silk", or the characters feeling a "pang" of something every five fucking seconds.

That's great to know. And I'm doing ok thanks. Still amusing myself with some collaging, but mostly privately nowadays.

And yes I get what you mean with the AI. As though it's giving you what it thinks you want to hear, and over elaborating in a big way by the sound of it.

Do you find you can correct (or improve) this by giving it some hints?

I guess I might have to try it for myself to find out lol!

Dorian and I do not get along. He has a temper, and he seems to like to lose it at people who are mentally ill. This eventually led to my getting banned from Minimizer's board in March 2013. I had to do without a computer for about six months in 2012. I tried to catch up with old posts, but Sally G. didn't like me necroposting. She deleted all of her collages that she'd posted while I was gone, then she started mocking me by replying to posts that were nearly five years old. Of course I complained about it. ("You must really hate me.") A lot of members took her side, and turned against me. Then Dorian threatened to ban me. This resulted in me telling off Dorian, and I got banned. I suppose what did it was "You're just like my dad. I bet if you and Penny have kids, you'll beat them with a belt.".

The SWastika is what I call the SW Realm, Dorian's message board. I joined briefly, mainly to tell off Dorian some more, and to rub in how the karma bird had crapped on a certain nurse in Canada who turned traitor and banned me from Minimizer's board, after all that I did for her. But I also tried to tell you why you were banned from Minimizer's board. (For some reason it was thought that you and Obscure were the same person posting under two different usernames. I guess they didn't see the post about you and Obscure meeting for coffee. I'm assuming that the two of you used the same public computer for Internet access. And if Chisaimihiko was the one who banned you, it was especially hypocritical, since she posted under more than one username on a previous incarnation of Minimizer's board. So did Elana and minutia.) But all of my posts were deleted in one fell swoop when I was banned. Twice. Even though I posted some legitimate content for people who never turned against me and stabbed me in the back. (Unlike a certain nurse in Canada that I did so much for.)
