Becky had entered a contest to win the use of a Lamborghini Countach for a weekend. She had always loved fast cars and couldn't resist the urge to open it up on some back country roads. She was amazed at the handling of the supercar and becoming intoxicated at the speed, she pushed the pedal down further and further as the car wound its way along the empty road. Telephone poles whipped by so fast they looked like a picket fence. She crested a small rise, and all four wheels of the car momentarily left the ground. As the wheels reconnected with the pavement, she began to lose control. The back of the car spun around and the car did multiple 360's as she gripped the wheel with all her might, her foot pressing down on the brakes. Still spinning as the car crested another rise, Becky saw what she thought was a cloud in the road, a glowing white cloud. Still trying to get control of the car, she entered the cloud and felt the car rising off the roadway and begin to tumble. The G forces caused the blood in her brain to be pushed down into her chest and she felt herself blacking out. Believing she was about to die, she closed her eyes tightly and waited for the final crash of the car and her demise.
Becky awoke and found herself still strapped into the car's seat. She did a check of herself, feeling her arms, legs, head, neck and surprisingly, no injuries were found. She tried to start the car, but it wouldn't even crank. Trying to open the door, she found it stuck and wouldn't budge no matter how hard she pushed. She pressed the window button and to her surprise, it worked, and the driver's door window went down. Unbuckling her harness, she climbed through the window, falling to the ground......actually deep mud. Now covered in mud, managing to stand in the knee-deep slime, she looked at the car and found it sunken in this thick gooey muck higher than its wheels.
Surveying her surrounding, all she could see was tall thick grass towering over her head, like a rich lush jungle. Then she noticed the top of a cell tower. It didn't look that far away. If she walked towards it, she would find an access road and she could follow it to a main road and get help. Becky began to walk towards it. After an hour, struggling through thick mud most of the way, she didn't seem to be any closer to it. Having forgot to retrieve her bottle of water from the car prior to starting out, the heat and humidity added to her physical exertion, and she was soon exhausted. Catching her foot in the mud, she fell forward onto her hands and knees. As she rested for a moment, she heard something moving nearby. She heard a voice coming from above, "Oh, there you are." She looked up and saw a monstrous being hovering above her and the grass being pushed aside by humongous appendages....and she passed out.
Becky opened her eyes and could see nothing. Pitch blackness enveloped her. She couldn't even see her hands held in front of her face. She didn't feel any pain and running her hands over her body, she realized the mud that had encrusted her was gone. Her skin felt clean and soft, and she smelled an aroma of exotic perfume. To her astonishment, she seemed to be wearing a bikini. A very small bikini at that. Noticing something around her neck, she felt it with her hands. It felt like a heavy gold chain, but she could find no clasp, just some kind of charm shaped like a heart hanging from it. The charm was nearly as big as her hand and had some sort of grooves on one side, maybe an engraving but she couldn't make it out. She felt the floor and it felt smooth as glass. Cool and smooth. She struggled to her feet and put her hands out in front of her she slowly began to walk forward, stopping when she found a wall made of the same cool and smooth glass-like material she was standing on. She began to walk sideways along the wall until she got to a corner. Continuing along was wall, she found three more corners, but no doors or windows. She estimated the room was about 12 feet square and empty. Now looking up, she could just barely make out the ceiling. Not smooth like the floor or walls, it looked like a grid, maybe chain-link or heavy chicken wire.
Becky yelled several times but received no response. Her mind was still spinning as she began to think back on the last few hours....the car, the cloud, the accident, the mud, the jungle, the cell tower....the monster. And now, clean, wearing a bikini in this sterile dark room. What is going on?
She noticed her eyes were becoming adjusted to the darkness. She could see her hands and feet and looking around, the room was empty with the exception a beanbag shaped pillow the size of a bed. She walked back to the one of the walls and pressed her face to it. She could barely make out a line of exotic cars parked about 30 feet away. She walked the perimeter of the room and arriving at the corner, she looked through that wall and saw another person pressed up against another glass wall ten feet away. She couldn't see that clearly, but it appeared to be another woman, and as she could see the outline of her body, she believed it was another young woman, wearing a bikini like she was, but she couldn't make out her face or if the woman could see her. She pounded her fists on the wall, but the other woman didn't seem to hear her. Giving up on this side, she walked further along the walls, trying to see what her was around. At the back of the room, looking through the glass, she could just see a featureless wall. Shuffling along the wall to the other side, she could see another woman, again appearing to be standing there in a bikini.
She sat down on the smooth cool floor. Frustrated and feelings of terror began to creep into her mind. She started to believe that maybe none of this was really happening. Maybe she was dreaming or maybe she was crazy. Maybe someone put some kind of drug into her drink at the restaurant she stopped in just prior to driving off in the Lambo..........then a noise.....a click and creak......some light filtered into the room, but she still couldn't see very much......
Then shuffling feet and a voice....a woman's voice, "Welcome to Margie's Unique and Exotic Collectables. Please browse the items on display and we'll start the auction in 15 minutes."
