I have the episode "The Crash" on my DVR and that scene isn't there. I thought that episode was the pilot. Is there another pilot episode?

Actually there is! It's on the official DVD set. Should be on YouTube somewhere also.

I wish I could find the episode it was in. Others said it was in the pilot, but I thought "The Crash" was the pilot and it's not in there, unless it was edited out for syndication.

The television episode is heavily edited. I found the hour-long pilot, though a very, very poor copy and the egg carton scene starts around 40:30

If you have a region-free DVD player, the complete series has been "officially" released on DVD in the UK.
