EC Comics did an "unauthorized" adaptation of "The Diminishing Draft" (with changes made), "Something Missing!", in Weird Science #7 (May/June 1951). All I could find online was some panels from the final page. These must be from the hardcover EC Archives. In the 1950's, "The Diminishing Draft" was adapted into the French film Girl in His Pocket (aka Nude in His Pocket), with changes made, including a "happy ending". Clip courtesy of foreverlurk:
Sometime in the early 1990's, I got Sinister Cinema's print catalog in the mail. I almost ordered the VHS tape of Girl in His Pocket, which I think cost $20, because their print catalog had a very misleading plot summary, which is still being used on their website today:
