It was from a thai film called Lub-lae-khon-ma-has-sa-jun.

I cannot find anything on it anywhere online. Maybe I’m not searching hard enough. But I would like to see this gem again.

I vaguely remember this. I spent some time searching on Yandex and nothing turned up. I am sure it is out there, perhaps someone could search the title in its native script. I am not sure if that it is Vietnamese but it looks like a south East Asian script.

I did a brief search on Google translate and it thinks it's Hindi. Any idea what it's actually about? I'm guessing she's some kind of fairy/gnome?

Actually it's Thai and the title is " ตัวอย่างภาพยนตร์ ลับแล คนมหัศจรรย์ " (Land of the Lost).

The way I understand it that girl is a princess, and for some reason if she ever leaves her homeland, she shrinks to two inches tall :

An English synopsis provided by Five Star Production:

"A pair of hunters went on a hunting trip, accidentally found the Land of The Lost, the pair becomes greedy and abducts the princess intending to sell her for profit, but once they are outside the Land of The Lost, to their surprise, the Princess turn into a tiny little human about the size of a thumb. Two soldiers form the Land of The Lost have been sent to come after the Princess and bring her back, because no one from the Land of the Lost can last more than 7 days outside their land. A pair of brother and sister caught the two tiny soldiers, and soon learned everything about their mission and the Princess. After consulting with their parents, they all set out with the two tiny soldiers to rescue the Princess and return home before it’s too late."

It's too bad that HKFlix.com went out of business. (And they went out of business around 15 years ago) They carried a lot of DVD's of Asian movies and TV shows, mainly horror and exploitation. (But I don't remember this one.)
