Re: SW in Western Animation Compilation
The "short person shrinking other people so he's bigger than them" plot was used in an episode of Underdog, "The Big Shrink". Simon Bar Sinister creates "shrinking water". First he just does one person at a time, with one of those fake flowers that squirts water. ("Simon says "Smell my flower."."). But then he puts it in a rain making machine, causing mass shrinking. More recently there was an episode of Stripperella, "Evil Things Come in Small Packages". Small Fry uses a shrink ray, shrinking one person at a time. But later he makes himself a giant.
Our own Sally Reynolds is 4'10" or 4'11". She was tired of having girlfriends who were taller than her, so she started fantasizing about shrinking them.

Shrinking episode of the Punky Brewster Saturday morning cartoon. (Not that great.)

I found out about this from a post on my Facebook page. I haven't watched Mad Monster Party, so I didn't know that King Kong is in it.

Bumblebee guest starring in Cartoon Network's earlier Teen Titans series. She's drawn much more realistically than she is in more recent incarnations.

Re: SW in Western Animation Compilation
The past two Sundays, I watched Speed Buggy on MeTV Toons while my sister was out of town. The opening titles include a clip of Speed Buggy getting picked up by a giant ape.
I always assumed that the clip was made for the introduction, like the clip of a giant ape following the Mystery Machine in the opening titles of The New Scooby Doo Movies. But in this past Sunday's episode, Speed Buggy and the gang have to jump out of a plane when one of the engines fails. They land on a plateau inhabited by a tribe of giant apes. Their leader is "Kingzilla", which is the title of the episode. We only get one scene of Kingzilla picking up Speed Buggy while everyone is in him. Debbie says "Put us down, you big ape!", then complains that it feels like she's riding on a rollercoaster. But after that, no one is in Speed Buggy when Kingzilla interacts with him. This clip was all that I could find on YouTube, playing on someone's cell phone. Maybe someone else can find the entire episode online.

Re: SW in Western Animation Compilation
Without watching, I'm betting that it's the episode with "Metamorpho". I remember Speed Buggy shrinking, then melting into a puddle. Then he reforms and grows to giant size, with Tinker hanging on to the giant steering wheel for dear life. That's one of three episodes of Speed Buggy that I remember watching as a child. (The other ones are the one with the "ringmaster" who has a pitch pipe that he can use to control animals, and the one with the Amazons who can brainwash men. ("I hear and obey.") Mark, Tinker and Speed Buggy have to dress in drag to rescue Debbie from the Amazons.)

Re: SW in Western Animation Compilation
I found out from the Cartoon Research Facebook group that Tinker Bell has a cameo in the Roger Rabbit short "Trail Mix-Up". But she has black hair, and instead of wearing green, she's made up to look like a bee. I tried watching it on YouTube, but I didn't see her. There's a screen cap of her on the Cartoon Research Facebook group. It's in the post about the "The Best of Roger Rabbit" laserdisc

In one episode of Wabbit (aka New Looney Tunes), "To Catch A Fairy", Bugs Bunny loses both of his buck teeth to the Tooth Fairy because he slept with his head under the pillow. (The Tooth Fairy gets a $50 commission for each tooth that she brings in.) "Of course you know this means war!" I could only find a clip on YouTube:

"The other ones are the one with the 'ringmaster' who has a pitch pipe that he can use to control animals..." I remember that one! I think he called it a Control Calliope even though it wasn't remotely what a calliope (a kind of pipe organ) looks like. I guess the writers just thought the name sounded cool.

As a child, I didn't know what a pitch pipe was. I thought that it was some kind of weird harmonica.

My memory of this episode was way off. Speed Buggy isn't the only character who gets shrunk.Schadenfreude wrote: ↑Fri Mar 27, 2026 4:46 amWithout watching, I'm betting that it's the episode with "Metamorpho". Re: SW in Western Animation Compilation
I figured that MeTV Toons would have special programming for Mother's Day, but they didn't. So I got to watch Speed Buggy, and it was the "ringmaster" episode. At first the control device was being called "piccolo" and just "calliope", but the "ringmaster" finally called it his "Control Calliope". (Not long before Speed Buggy ran over it.) I was thinking that he had a whole army of animals, but there were only six. (But they were still pretty effective.)KaraAliasRaidra wrote: ↑Mon Mar 30, 2026 1:54 pm"The other ones are the one with the 'ringmaster' who has a pitch pipe that he can use to control animals..." EDIT: A week later, MeTV Toons showed the "Metamorpho" episode. In addition to being able to change his size, he's pretty much like Plastic Man, including changing himself into a ball, and changing himself into a wheel/tire. He also turned one of his hands into the bucket of a steam shovel to get the shrunken Speed Buggy after he drove into a mouse hole. And I had forgotten about Speed Buggy getting the hiccups, which makes him grow, sometimes all of him, sometimes just his wheels/tires, which helps him win the race.
EDIT #2: On June 7th, MeTV Toons showed the episode with the Amazons. I was wrong about Mark, Tinker and Speed Buggy dressing in drag to rescue Debbie. It was Debbie's idea to have them dress in drag as a disguise. I remembered the "Beauty Booth" that everyone had to go through on a conveyor belt, almost like a car wash, where hair was washed, dried, and styled, makeup applied, etc.

Re: SW in Western Animation Compilation
I watched Thundarr the Barbarian during its original Saturday morning run. In one episode, Thundarr, Ariel and Ookla were having to deal with a wizard. In one scene, suddenly there were big snakes wrapped around all three of them, there was a flash of light, and they were shrunk and imprisoned inside a crystal ball. Thundarr attacked it with his sword, Ariel blasted it with her magic powers, and Ookla beat on it with his fists until it cracked and everyone was back to normal size. But I don't know which episode it was.
(Before my sister took cable TV away from me, while I was going through the guide one night, Thundarr the Barbarian was on when I was checking Boomerang's schedule. I heard Ariel tell Thundarr "I'm a big girl now.". It would be funny if that shrinking scene is in this episode. But it probably isn't.)

"Destino" is a collaboration between Walt Disney and Salvador Dali that was started in the 1940's, but was never finished. Walt's nephew Roy E. Disney had it finished in the 21st century.

The chorus that sings later in "Destino" sounds like the same singers who sing "Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo" in Cinderella, "You Can Fly" in Peter Pan, and "Bella Notte" in Lady and the Tramp.

Re: SW in Western Animation Compilation
I had forgotten about Angela Anaconda until a post on one of the cartoon-related Facebook groups that I belong to reminded me. It was done with paper cutout animation like the earliest episodes of South Park, but they used B & W photos for the faces, arms and legs, while clothes, hair, etc. were in color. It was not something that I watched, but I happened to have the TV on at the right moment. In one episode Angela Anaconda fantasized about shrinking a (female) adversary, kind of like Bart fantasizing about shrinking Ms. Krabappel in an early episode of The Simpsons. But who knows how you would find it now.
