Yeah, they show how his voice is booming to her and how she has to use a bullhorn in the trailer. It's interesting to hear that one of them, Jennifer Ames, came across the short story, noting that it's narrated by his point of view, and realized there was so much more to milk from it by giving the wife a voice. They said they used events in the story as a tent pole to flesh out a lot more, especially typical marriage stuff. That's pretty cool.
Oh, and there's one reveal, which I'll tag as a spoiler, even though it's something I believe I predicted in my big compendium last summer:
