Upcoming Shows + Movies with Potential

I think we lost the original thread somewhere and I feel there's a few things that could be worth keeping an eye on.

To clarify, these are items that *have not* been confirmed as explicitly featuring SW - they just seem possible based on setting (sci-fi, magic) or if a returning show or series had some kind of shrinking before but hasn't shown yet if there will be more. Thus, Gen V, Miniature Wife, etc. shouldn't have to come up because they're foregone conclusions.

If submitting anything with particularly young actors, please please please state that they are of-age or mention any older character in the cast - in short, the person we want to focus on - or don't post it.

-The Thundermans - Nickelodeon show about a superhero family - will have a spin-off centering on the original siblings. (Kira Kosarin, as Phoebe, is 26).

-Disney's Descendents 4 will focus on the rebellious daughter (Kylie Cantrall, 19-20) of Wonderland's Queen of Hearts (Rita Ora). It airs July 12.

-The Librarians: The Next Chapter, a spin-off series of a spin-off series of a movie series, will air later this year. The previous series *did* have some kind of plot involving shrinking, but it was 2 of the males stuck in a dollhouse.

-Wizards of Waverly Place is getting (are you ready for this?) a spin-off sequel series called Wizards Beyond Waverly Place focusing on Justin Russo (David Henrie) and his family and a lost girl Alex (Selena Gomez, likely not recurring) brings to him. The main cast is young, but Justin has a wife Giada (Mimi Gianopulos).

-Fairy Tale 100 Year Quest anime premieres this July. This isn't exactly foregone since, God forbid, the showrunners decide to cut it, but the manga has a (I think) filler arc with the team at a hotspring. The size manipulator Brandish shows up and shrinks the entire female cast.

Oh I remember this scene, if they do it properly it could be an all-time classic.

I would add two to the list:

* Season 6 of Miraculous coming later this year, I haven't given up on seeing a shrunken Marinette
* Season 2 of Tara Duncan (reboot), the original had three episodes with multiple females shrinking

That last shot bugs me and I dunno why. Also funny the little girl in that would grow up to be the Tinkerbell in the D+ Pan movie

Indeed, how could I forget - lots of shrinking in many episodes. The first episode has already aired btw, in French. Looking at the episode titles, episode 4 on June 2nd could be a nice candidate ("Invasion of the Giant Critters") for sizey stuff. Fingers crossed.

Darn this is the first time I've heard of the Librarians. if you know more shows that no one knows or I haven't known about, please someone post it. usually i just see Bollywood stuff nowadays and I wanna see more size content on tv shows or movies posted, whether it was a brief scene or just SM or whatever, I wanna see it. Im waay to intrigued on how shows portray size scales and physics, it gets me giddy (which is why I don't pay attention to the shrinkees or the colossal giants, just the differences in scale of their perspectives) although like the others, young ones are a red flag to me. but I honestly want to see more hidden shrinking gems like that.

My pictures are out of order....the second picture is in her original clothes that got covered in paint. As I remember, she changed into the doll clothes before being handled by the little girl. The episode is called The Dollhouse.

thanks for the post regardless. seeing it is enough for me. even if its just a split second. finding shows of tv episodes or a show that revolves around shrinking that isn't bollywood is real hard... even for me. If only someone could make a list...

It *is* confirmed that Julia will become giant - some reviews mention it and she talked about being at a set in London shooting some it. Whether or not she also shrinks isn't certain, but some articles I found suggest she does.

oh yeah i saw this one a few days ago, checked out the trailer and i like how the macaw can grow big as a room and small enough to fit in someone's ear. those review descriptions i saw even got me more curious. i pray i get to see as much shrinking as we see enlarging. Hope its available to stream fast.

Harley Quinn season 5 premiered today with Harley and Ivy headed to Metropolis. The episode stinger reveals Braniac will be involved at some point.

Harley Quinn minor update - after Braniac's intro, his master plan is revealed that he does in fact want to shrink and bottle Metropolis, but only does so to cities he considers "perfect" which is why it's taking so long. Flashbacks show him capturing cities, but everyone is frozen in the process.

Harley and the others were informed of this by Lena Luthor (voiced by ironically super-tall 2-time SW vet Aisha Tyler) but are unaware that she had tried to partner with Braniac so she could rule Metropolis. Warning everyone about the plot (through a musical!) has been the main focus this far so this is really starting to look like a Chekovs Gun about to go off.

More tantalizing: the penultimate episode, in a show featuring Braniac, is (thanks to the Supergirl series, *once again*) titled "Bottle Episode."

Adult Swim just released Oh My God... Yes! A Series of Extremely Relatable Circumstances and one of the characters looks like they change their size, it premiered a few weeks ago and the size changer supposedly has some scenes as an SW.

Can confirm - blue-hair girl starts micro inside a woman's womb trying to stop a birth but get flushed out and is shown in the apartment as a squeaky speck trying to get someone's attention. She then tries to use her size-change watch to grow back, but gets too big, then too small, then wide and deformed. Next time we see her she's giant fighting a robot, then back to normal offscreen.

Adult Swim actually has the episode available for free until April so you can see it in full.

I appreciate you guys posting about this. I'm a sucker for squeaky voices in SW. That being said, holy shit, that was the absolute worst show I've ever had the displeasure of watching. I can't believe people got paid to make that crap.

Honestly same. there are only a few banger reboots, like the Ducktales one, it was pretty good imo. Today's television line up is almost LA, reboot or some show with barely any substance, or they through in a spin-off or a sequel series for that matter and get cancelled after 1 season for some reason.
