Which do you prefer: socially accepted SW or not?

Why does being reduced in size immediately suggest you want to be someone's pet? It's another reason I can't hack the idea of being permanently shrunk, as it would feel like a life sentence under those conditions.

I'm choosy about the circumstances of my own sw fantasies, and the idea the topic proposes has no appeal to me.

Considering that I like the idea of people collectively shrinking due to some disease, in this case, society would have to accept us. So, yes, I prefer that the socially accepted SW.
However, I don’t like being forcibly regarded as a pet, as it would make me feel that the authenticity of the story is undermined. If women shrunk in reality for some reason, I believe there would still be many people trying to find a career suitable for themselves. Discrimination might be more severe than it is now, but it would still be impossible to downgrade all tiny ladies to pets. Especially in many stories about pet SW, the way people treat the female protagonist is more like treating a pest than a pet.
But I’m not opposed to becoming a pet. On the contrary, if I really shrunk IRL, I would consider being someone’s pet on weekends or holidays as a relaxing activity. But I hope I can always regain control of my own life at any time, rather than having a permanent owner.

I think this is the sort of thing that would appeal to me too personally, it's hard to imagine a permanent downgrade in someone's status as some sort of new world order thing. Nothing against those who do enjoy it though.

Have you read the story "Out of Their Element" by Littlest Lilly? I think you would enjoy it, particularly the dynamics between the normal sized guy and the tiny girl.

Realistically, people who are shrunk would be considered handicapped. They would need someone to care for them, but not own them or deny them free will. So if tinies are being mistreated, then other things also have to be going wrong. Either no one knows that these specific tinies exist, or some religious nutcase has convinced people that shrinking is judgement from God. Or general social collapse: Some people shrink, but most just die, for example. Or the virus makes some people small, and others violent or stupid.

I sometimes imagine a group of male friends shrunk me together and now they just keep me as a pet among themselves and take turns having me for a week at a time as I get passed from their boxers every 7 days.

Nahhh, what excites me more regarding SWs is the pure moment it happens and I play them like the sweet toys they are, I don´t care what happens 30 mins after I play with them, because by that time, the most exciting thought is - Where is my next mini ???

Also, I don´t like hurting or torturing and every lady has the right to go back to their normal sized life, at least until I feel the urge to play them again for a bit, in case I find her exciting enough to appreciate her a second time !!!
