Might I make a suggestion? Instead of rewriting the same plot. How about we do a story centered around the research itself with a twist? We keep most of the same details, but in this version the university realizing what a legal liability it would be to have their lead researcher as an unregistered mini, so the university assigns Hank to be her owner whenever she's minituarized. And also she gets to change back to normal size. It would be quite interesting to see how as a mini Hank treats her like a pet, but when normal sized he has that restraint that men in western societies treat women with. Besides, the fluidity of mini vs normal sized keeps the story going.
