This version was designed to be a comedy. I didn't care too much for that aspect, but what I did like is the clothing the Borrowers wore. In the 1973 and 2011 versions, the Borrowers wore "normal" clothing, not even looking like what a 5 to 6 inch tall person would wear is a world of 5 to 6 foot tall people. In the 1998 movie, they wore what looked like handmade clothing made from scraps of cloth, complete with oversized buttons. IMHO, this made the movie more believable.

same, i kind of found it odd that they wore normal clothing. Its not like they're even brave enough to sneak in the house and "borrow" doll clothes from an unsuspecting dollhouse from the get-go.

also i really wish we get a new Borrowers movie/tv show. make it a tv show like the 1993 version, it can cover more content than the movie did if it was done that way imo meaning more of the Borrowers and more scale and also hoping more physical interactions like being held or doing a handshake. Heck i wouldnt mind if it was a contemporary adaptation that doesnt cover the Clock family, it can also be another set of borrowers too. that one Gullivers travels reboots coming out gave me that spark of an idea.
