I'm rewatching the 2010 Alice in Wonderland movie recently. During the watch of the teaser trailer of it, I found that there is a slightly difference on the shrinking scene in the round hall, even though I know one of it is a really early vfx build of the movie, I still think the shrinking effect in the teaser trailer of the movie is better than the final version, what do you guys think?
(Sorry that I can not upload photos due to the restrictions, you can use the url to see)
The teaser trailer: w w w.youtube. c o m/watch?v=1VHRz1S_kYI
(Actually, there is a more direct comparison from this vfx breakdown video, you can clearly see that in the early version, the dress falls onto the ground in a different form: w w w.youtube.c o m/watch?v=_tRmNikqaJA)
Which shrinking effect is better?

Re: Which shrinking effect is better?
Tim Burton's Alice is a high water mark for the shrinking fandom for sure, but there's a lot of problems with the effects. Specifically, in the Hallway Sequence, when she shrinks, her left arm somehow warps through her dress and there's no effort pull her arm out of the sleeve. Look for it.
Also she disappears into the dress, but doesn't actually shrink that small to do that. At the size she ends up at, she would not have disappears into the dress. She would have had to have crouched down into it, and why would she do that?
Lastly, the next shot where she emerges and ties and fixes her undergarments is maybe better than the previous shot in terms of effects. It's all practical and you get an organic tactile of everything. I get that's not what most people go for in this fetish, but it's a notable stop along the way for me. Anybody else?
