Re: Mom Shrunk!?
Have you considered not bumping the thread all the time?

If there were a rule I wouldn't have politely asked, but just locked the threat and maybe given you a stern warning in addition.
But as a rule of thumb...if people care about a thread, it doesn't need bumping.
And bumping something, nobody cares about, is just annoying.

While it can be disappointing when a thread goes quiet, threads naturally pause until someone has a meaningful contribution to add. Continually "bumping" a topic does not invite genuine engagement, it simply demands attention without adding any value to the discussion. Furthermore, it creates unnecessary clutter and wastes bandwidth for users who may be on limited data plans.
I have had many posts receive no replies, and the correct approach is simply to move on. Our goal here should always be to make positive, meaningful contributions. We are all part of this community to share our common interests and build a better collective understanding, and respecting the natural flow of discussion is a key part of that.

And bumping something, nobody cares about, is just annoying. In a physical community, if a conversation naturally ends or fails to catch on, we do not repeatedly shout to force people to listen. Online forums operate on the same social principles.

I think the thread should be locked.
