When the island of Lilliput was discovered, it was immediately put under governmental control to protect the inhabitants from exploitation. After months of negotiation, limited numbers of "Gullians" and "Lillians"(named of course after the book "Gullivers Travels") were permitted to travel to the other's worlds in what was referred to as "cultural exchange". Tiffany, a flight attendant on the first commercial flight to Lilliput was permitted to be the escort for a Lillian traveling to the Gullian world. Her charge, a member of the royal family named Magilia, was excited to see Tiffany's world, however, she was not too pleased when Tiffany deposited her on top of her drink and paraded her around the airport Starbucks to show her off to the customers.

I didn’t realize you didn’t respect me, Doc. You did steal Laboki’s picture though. He just didn’t want to make waves.

I never said that. But just like if someone looks at a "not dirty" picture and sees dirt, it's on them, like a politician in my city who said, "I can't define pornography, but I know it if I see it." If you wish to make a general remark personal, that's your choice.

If someone on D-art asks for a fee, a donation or posts "Do not use with my permission........" I comply or just don't use it. This picture did not, though a few others on his page do, such as the four-part shrinking picture that he made and was charging a fee to download and I used the background photo, not any of his "work". If none of those restrictions are included with the picture, I may "borrow" part of the picture to build a collage, but I would never use, say.....a hand AND SW from a Pacific 1982 picture and put it on a different background with or without permission, because that was his work combining the two. Technically, every picture on the Net belongs to someone. Some like Dreamstime and iStock put watermarks on their images, forcing you to purchase them if you want to use them for something. There are only two artists that I have come across that use their own photographs for their collages. Even Pacific1982 who uses his own backgrounds and hands, uses pictures off the Net as does nearly everyone else, even you I would assume. (I've seen the original pictures from nearly everyone's collages during my searches for collage fodder) Does anyone track down and contact the "owner" of a picture they find on Bing or Google Images and ask permission to use the photograph if they are not using it for financial gain? I seriously doubt it. If you really think about it, even AI creations would belong to the guy or gal who created the program, since it's technically their work that produces the image, not the person who typed in what they wanted the program to create. Ethically, you should ask permission to use ANY picture you use off the Net, but if you did, you would never be able to do anything because they would never respond to you and most pictures are already "stolen" from the original source and reposted, even a lot of DA pictures I've also found on Bing or Google Images with no connection to DA, but to a magazine or magazine website such as Elegant Restraint, FHM and others, so it would appear they simply collected the picture and put it on their profile page with no recognition of the original source. I do all of this for fun, I posted a disclaimer on the first post of the thread that I built the collages from pictures found on the Net. I don't charge or request donations, publish or even have a DA profile where I'm asking, requesting or accepting financial considerations, so what's the harm?

Take for example these two pictures. The top picture was on someone's page. Both the hands and the female I've seen independently on Bing images.


So because I liked the girl and I didn't save the picture from Bing and couldn't find it again, I "borrowed" her and put her on a background photograph I found on Bing images.


I'm pretty confident the "original artist" did not take this picture him or herself and simply snagged it off the Net like everyone else does. If he or she is not claiming ownership of the photograph or making money off it, was any harm done? It's like the guy who walks around town in a military uniform but was never in the military. There's no law against it, but if he says he was in the military to reap some type of benefits (even a free cuppa coffee), then he/she has broken the law.

Thing is you do enough collaging eventually you're going to end up using the same stock resources that someone else did. As a rule I don't use stock from deviantart as it just gets more complicated than it's worth credit given or not. Most of my stock is from shutterstock and the like or imageboards. Bob if you're reading this, there have been one or two cases where you used the same stock I did after the fact and I'm sure the same could be said of me. It's the nature of the game. It is what it is. As long as nobody is flat our stealing the entire piece wholesale, I don't see the issue.

George just wanted his sister to win the collegiate track and field competition, but he had to get Sophia out of the way first. Borrowing the matter miniaturization device from the microbiophysiology department, he ambushed Sophia while she was working out in a secluded area of the park. After the competition is over, he'll return her to normal size and since the restoration process eliminates any memories of the time she was shrunk, she'll have no recollection of the incident. George may decide to skip the competition and have some fun with Sophia. His sister won't mind if he's not there. With Sophia not being there, she'll be too busy winning to even notice.

Professor Blackwell was conducting research in the manipulation of matter size when an accidental discharge of radiation reduced her to the size of a doll. She was forced to resign from her position at the university and stay at home. After a few months, she was finally adjusting to her new situation, then she noticed her husband was having more and more late night meetings at work and leaving her home with the kids and a babysitter. She grew even more suspicious when she noticed the new cologne her husband was wearing when he left for his "meetings".

A rare look inside the walls of a house with "Borrowers". There are passageways from room to room and as here, a sidewalk made of wooden coffee stirrers makes traversing a water pipe much easier while on a "borrowing" venture. Even the ladder from the sidewalk to the lower level is made from coffee stirrers and wooden matches. And you were wondering why you had to keep buying more while blaming your spouse for using too many !! The Borrowers do have to contend with the occasional furry trespasser though.

The two kingdoms, the Giants and the Humans, decided to end their decade long war. To seal the truce, the king of the Humans offered his daughter's hand in marriage to the son of the king of the Giants. Too small to walk down the aisle, a second "ring bearer" was selected to carry the bride to the alter. The princess was not too thrilled with the whole marriage to a giant thing and was even less thrilled with being delivered to her betrothed on a plate thirty feet off the ground.

After Professor Thorton's daughters grew up and moved out, the Thorton's couldn't handle an "empty nest" so they adopted an orphan from Africa.
Adilah developed a love for the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and she and the new babysitter, Katrina, played with them for hours. When Katrina, like all babysitters eventually do, "aged out" and was going to have to quit babysitting Adilah, Professor Thorton couldn't bear seeing his new daughter disappointed, so he miniaturized Katrina. Now, Adilah can play TMNT with Katrina all she wants.

It was bad enough for Lucy having to put up with her brother after she had been shrunk in a lab accident at the university, but when he started a new hobby building robots, he found a whole new way to torment her.

Sandy was studying to be a robotics designer and engineer when a freak accident in the Microbiophysiology Lab miniaturized her to the size of a doll. However, she discovered that her new size made troubleshooting the new robots she had been developing for the government much easier as her eyesight could see miniscule details and her tiny hands could make repairs that before she would have to disassemble the robot to get access to the innards. She soon landed a very lucrative DoD contract and she and her boyfriend were soon living in luxury as well as exploring new ways of enjoying the difference is their body sizes.

Amber had been forced to leave school after being miniaturized in a lab accident. Her dog, Taco, didn't seem to understand in her new size she couldn't do the things with him that she used to. Every morning, he would wake her up by pulling off her covers and licking her until she got up to let him out to pee. Now he pokes his head through the doll house window and pulls off her covers to wake her up. Fortunately, since Amber doesn't have any pajamas to would fit her, he can't reach his head far enough inside the doll house to lick her awake !!!

Borrower Gabby had ventured out from the farmhouse where she and her family live within the walls and beneath the floorboards to pick a fresh strawberry for desert after the family meal. She had just found one and twisted it off of the plant when she was grabbed from behind. She found herself sitting in the hand of the Bean boy who lived in the house. The boy, who was about her age, was deaf and mute but she had always thought he was cute....well as cute as a Bean could be. She was terrified at first, but his disarming smile calmed her a bit. Then he began picking more strawberries and piling them in his hand around her. Not realizing she was doing it, she was gazing at him dreamily as he carried her back to the house and set her and the strawberries near the hole in the foundation she used to come and go. Gabby began to think this might be the beginning of something good.

Of course, he would never let the cats get to his tiny girlfriend/pet. He just occasionally takes her outside to see what is waiting for her if she tried to leave the house. Hey, don't be down on him. He's really a nice guy. He always leaves food on the front and back porch for the poor, hungry feral kitties. No wonder they're always around the house.

She had no idea what happened to her, but suddenly she was shrunken to the size of a doll. Maybe it had something to do with the lab experiments she was doing at school today or that strange tasting juice she found in her dorm room fridge. But all Marie could think about right now was she hoped her roommate got home from class before her cat wakes up.......

Charlie, the owner of the newest coffee shop franchise had commissioned glass milk cartons coffee mugs to promote the grand opening of the shop. He convinced his much younger trophy girlfriend to let him shrink her and have her wear a cute coffee cup costume. She wasn't too thrilled about the idea, but she knew they would be soon very rich, and she liked living the high life, so she went along with him. To draw more attention to the new coffee mugs, he slipped her down inside it and carried her around all evening. During the evening, the president of the company showed up unexpectantly and Charlie was so overjoyed to meet him, he set the mug containing his girlfriend down on a table to shake the president's hand with both hands. They chatted for a minute and when he turned around to pick up the mug.......it was gone.

Haley had always been a closet Marvel fan, even writing stories to try to satisfy her fantasies about being a superhero. Her friends thought all the fuss about the proliferation of Marvel movies was childish, immature and uncool, so she never let anyone in on her interests. In an attempt to merge reality with her fantasy life, she joined the gymnastic team and became a cheerleader so she could imagine she had superpowers while performing her acrobatic techniques. At night, she would watch the Marvel movies on her laptop, with headphones of course, under the covers in her dorm room, keeping her secret from her roommates, friends, teammates and other students.

She saw on a website that Comicon was coming to a city not far away. She had never been to one and she really wanted to go, but all her friends would never want to go to such a thing, and she didn't want to expose her fantasy life. She thought about it for a while, then decided to see if Professor Howard would go with her. Professor Howard was one of those socially awkward boy geniuses who at 18 already had two PhDs in Physics and Anatomical Physiology and did research at the university in these fields. He never seemed to have any desire to socialize with the faculty or even students that were closer to his age. Haley also knew that Professor Howard was also into the Marvel Universe as he was always wearing some type of Marvel Universe T-shirt under his lab coat. One afternoon after classes had ended, she went to his office and giving him her best coy and charming looks, asked him to go with her. She needn't had to work so hard as to her surprise, he immediately and enthusiastically told her he would be more than happy to accompany her to the event. He was wanting to go anyway, and he didn't want to make the five hour drive by himself.

On the day of the show, Haley drove Professor Howard to Comicon, she going as Rogue and he, Professor Xavier. Haley was a bit surprised about Professor Howard. He was a totally different person at the Comicon, and she had a really good time with him, despite his "nerdiness" and being three years younger than she. Haley had a few drinks and let her inhibitions relax a bit, evening flirting with the Professor a little.

After the show, Professor Howard drove them back to the university. He told her that he wanted to show her his new project, one that was being kept "top secret". In her "over the moon" state, she didn't even hesitate to grab his hand and gleefully lead him to his private lab. In the lab, he told her to stand on a circular metal plate on the floor so she "have the best vantage point" to see his new invention. Professor Howard walked over to the control panel, fiddled with a bunch of dials and levers, then looked over at her and said, "Are you ready for this?" She nodded and he threw the switch. A bright light enveloped Haley and she was like a giddy little girl mesmerized by the sparkles and colors swirling around her like she was standing in the vortex of a windless tornado. When the lights receded, she found the metal plate, which was the size of a large Frisbee, was now bigger than the trampoline in the university gymnasium. She looked up and saw a giant Professor Howard towering over her. She almost screamed, but he told her to just relax. He reached down and placed his hand on the floor, palm up and told her to climb on. She complied, more afraid of what he might do if she refused. He lifted her up and carried her to his office and placed her on his desk. He said to her, "Now jump. As high as you can." To her astonishment, she jumped the equivalent of 10 feet straight up. Her reduction in mass seemed to have enable her to defy the normal effects of gravity. Giggling, she began to jump all around the desk, from the desktop to the lowest shelf, then like an Olympic diver, she jumped off, did two midair summersaults and landed like a cat on the desk.

All the while she was performing her feats of her superhero gymnastic stunts, Professor Howard just stood there, smiling. Finally, getting a bit tired, Haley looked up at the Professor and said, "This is absolutely amazing. Thank you for letting me experience a little bit of my secret fantasy. But I have class tomorrow, so make me big again so I can go home."

Professor Howard just continued to smile at the diminutive cosplayer. He reached down and wrapped his massive hand around Haley and picked her up off the desk. He said, "Well, that's a bit of a conundrum. You see, I haven't worked out that part of the system yet", as he opened up his bookbag and placed Haley inside. He took her to his apartment and "introduced" her to rest of his vast collection of action figures. He grabbed the toy "Rogue" figure off the shelf and placed Haley on empty display stand. "You're the prized jewel of my collection now." He reached out and took hold of Haley again and he removed her coat and began to peel her outfit down off her shoulders. Haley was about to discover that when it came to women, Professor Howard had a few of his own secret fantasies.

Carli had grown tired of being the arm candy for her drug dealer boyfriend, but every time she ran away, the Cartel would find her and drag her back to him. In desperation, she contacted the DEA and was put in contact with an agent in the "Special Projects Department". She agreed to provide him with any information about her boyfriend's business if they could guarantee he would never be able to find her again. The agent promised her that she would disappear and there would be no way for the Cartel to find her. Once she had produced the information they asked for, she was left in a room for a while, being given some food and a drink. Not too long after eating and drinking, she felt tired and dozed off.

When Carli awoke, she found herself bound in tape and being held in the palm of a giant. She looked around the room and discovered not only this was a giant, but everything in the world was giant. She heard a knock at the door and a very well dressed giant woman walked into the room. The agent said, "Good afternoon, Mrs. Goodrich. Your check for $250,000 just cleared my Caymen Island bank account and as I promised, here is your new pet. Her name is Carli, but you will need to change it, just to be safe. I don't believe I need to remind you of the need for secrecy in this matter. I promised her that her scuzball boyfriend would never find her and I always keep my word."

As she reached for Carli, Mrs. Goodrich replied, "No need to worry, Agent Green. Mr. Goodrich and I pride ourselves in our discretion and we have no desire to share her with anyone. We're just happy to do our......civic duty."

In his younger days, Professor Thornton put in long hours at his lab working on the matter miniaturization device. He was finally making headway and had shrunk his first living creature, a St. Bernard, with the portable "shrinking gun". He had not been home for a week and was really excited to share the news with his girlfriend. He ran into the house like a little boy who had hit the homerun to win his first Little League ballgame, just to find she had been doing absolutely nothing while he was gone. The house was trashed, dishes were piled in the sink and she was lying on the couch, eating Bon Bons and watching the Hallmark Channel Christmas movies marathon. He was so incensed, he turned the shrinking gun on her and shrunk her. He reached down and grabbing her by the torso, he said, "Since you're about useless around her, let's see if I can find some other way for you to "pay the rent" as he began to peel her sweatshirt and jeans off of her of her now tiny and screaming self.

The war had dragged on for years. Technology had made most weapons and tactics useless. Lasers could intercept and destroy missiles, jets, rockets, attack drones and even artillery shells. Standard infantry and armor attacks were wiped out immediately. Infiltration units were spotted by drones with infrared and night vision optics and wiped out. Even nuclear, chemical and biological weapons had been rendered obsolete. Both sides refused to meet for peace talks and struggled to come up with some type of strategy to make a breakthrough. Finally, from the top brass, a daring plan was contrived. A small unit of specially trained commandos would be miniaturized to five inches tall. Their gear would also be miniaturized, including small, but powerful explosives. The mission would be to infiltrate the commandos close to the enemy's command center by a small stealth drone flying nap of the Earth. They would sneak into the command center and plant their explosives within the computers that control the enemy's weapons and defense systems. They would then sneak out and rendezvous with the drone and make their escape. When the explosives detonated, the enemy would be blind and defenseless and then the traditional troops would mount their attack.

The plan went off without a hitch. The commandos were inserted and made their way to the command center without detection. But then, one of the commandos was stepped on by a patrolling enemy sentry. His scream alerted the sentry, and the commandos were discovered. Some of them were able to flee into the darkness, but half a dozen were captured.

Stripped of their gear and boots, they were bound with string or strips of fabric. The prisoners were selected for interrogation, one by one, and subjected to hideous torture to extract any information they may have. None of them were able to resist very long. Between interrogations, the prisoners were abused and misused by their guards who had been without any female companionship for quite some time. The treatment they received at the hands (among other body parts) was nearly as bad as the interrogations. Afterwards, they were taken to the high command and became the personal P.O.W.s of high-ranking officials for the duration of the war, which still shows no signs of ending any time soon.

Princess Arkola had barely managed to evade the assassins who were chasing her after she fled her father's crippled starship. With her escape craft's sensors malfunctioning and nearly out of fuel, she had to find a place to land. She located a planet with an atmosphere similar to her home planet and observing another spacecraft on the ground, she landed on what she thought was an emergency landing field. As she exited her ship to survey the area, she was about to find out the decision to land on Planet Earth was not such a great idea.

It's been three days since Kaidyn was abducted while on a blind date and shrunk. The first day, she woke up in and had been kept in a bird cage all day, with nothing but a few scraps of food to eat. The second day, she was left in a box in total darkness with numerous scary feeling things in there with her. Today, she was tied at her wrists and ankles and had been forced to stand on the desk for two hours so far. As her captor begins to gather what he calls "training tools", she keeps wondering what today holds for her.
