After Katy had made numerous brightly colored and sweet videos, she wanted to do something a little darker. The director also liked the idea of abandoned toys in the attic. Katy's preference for large props and the associated costs he could easily work around. Instead of making expensive big things or using lots of digital effects, he shrunk Katy and shot the whole thing in the attic of an abandoned house somewhere in the middle of nowhere.
Katy's look somehow shows that she wasn't quite as excited about her own idea at that moment.
