Trying My Hand at AI Art *Advice Welcome*

Post by rscholar » Mon Nov 06, 2023 4:50 am

I don't remember if all of these were from Bing AI but it's the one I've been using the most lately (although it seems inconsistent in when it wants to even work). I've been having some specific recurring issues if anyone has any suggestions:

-The censor mostly refuses to render prompts bare feet, as in "woman standing next to giant foot."

-The censor also has a problem with "swimmer" or "swimsuit" - I can mostly understand it, but I once typed "female athlete" and got a woman in a sports bra and panties so I don't know.

-It's really tricky to render different sized characters and environments so a lot of my successes are mainly a woman next to an item and the occasional lucky strike. I try things like "woman next to giant/enormous item", but anything with another character or describing environments just gets jumbled. Worse, describing a normal person and a "small/tiny" woman ends with the woman as chibi or childish instead of proportionately shrunk.

Otherwise, enjoy!

Cool. As an option, a woman in a candy wrapper, or some kind of paper, against the background of an office.

First of all, very nice work! Thank you for sharing. Loved the one with the giant apple so much, I hope you don't mind that I've decided to create a few variations myself. Also loved the one on the scale, drinking the shrinking potion, very creative!

Allright, I have to go to work but quickly:

In my experience, rendering shoewear is actually harder than bare feet. ;-) It really seems to be the default state. Have you tried simply not mentionning it? You have to get lucky, no doubt, but using "standing next to normal sized woman" can work if used in conjunction with an "extreme low angle" / view from the ground and "zoom in on tiny woman" to make sure to POV is close enough.

I just tried mentionning "bare foot" in a quick prompt that gave me two nice renders after triggering the fail dog 5 times in a row (sometimes you have to try 10 times in a row). Here's results from "Create an image of a very tiny, shrunken wet young woman, standing in a field of oversized grass with morning dew, curiously looking at a bare foot that is taller than her, from a low angle perspective, with ambient sunlight filtering through the grass, in a hyper-realistic style"

Image

NOTE: These are raw outputs, of course I would edit out the extra toe, do another pass in Stable Diffusion to clean up the faces and upscale the resolution.

Likewise, I had little success with describing clothes (or lack thereof), I don't have an exact formula but something to remember is the "mood" of the picture, the context if you will. Where do people wear swimsuits? Pool, beaches, etc. Craft that in your prompt, even if it's nonsensical. Another thing to remember is that the emotions in your prompt can help get by the filter, ie. positive moods, happiness, smiling, etc. can actually help.

This is the part where my info is mostly contextual, meaning that it highly depends on the entire prompt you crafted. Personaly I found that using "giant" does indeed scale the object and works well in simple renders, but in a complex scene it'll break the size illusion because it'll keep the rest of the scene at normal scale. I had better success using "very tiny, shrunken woman, only a couple of inches tall" in my prompts, and then specifying normal-sized object and scene size relative to her ("dwarfed by a bottle", "blades of grass tower around her like trees", etc). Always give something for the AI to latch onto for the size difference, and mention it several times in the prompt ("woman is proportionately minuscule compared to the hand's lines and contours").

I have to run but don't hesitate if you have more questions... Oh, and here's my tribute to your wonderful apple picture - raw output, they would need to be cleaned up and tweaked, of course.

foreverlurk, I Love the way your first one turned out. The out of focus foreground and background, the sunlight from behind highlighting the little lady land the foot and her shocked posture are great. The extra toe.......well.....I guess AI needs to take A&P 101.

Ooops! Well an extra digit or two could be regarded as a bonus I suppose lol!

Mind you, if you commission pictures via a computer program, then I guess that just adds to the overall excitement, doesn't it? :D

Interested to learn how you would edit out the extra toe?

Had a go myself with this one (without cropping the frame)

We went with the same technique, adding grass from the left side, but I added slightly less blurred grass. I love yours as well, I could probably do better but I did this in about 15 minutes. And I went ahead and cleaned up a bit of the SW's face to better see her reaction (it was a near miss, almost got squashed! )

Lol! Those big footed amazons can be dangerous!

Anyway good job. Yes I spent about the same amount of time, so improvements can always be achieved. :)

These are fantastic! My favorites are the ones with objects such as the chair - I'm a big fan of "realistic" shrinking, where once they settle in, they have to just "exist" at that size... and it's really cute when it's a 2 foot tall woman sitting in a chair :) Would love to see more from you - I think this is all good stuff

Thank you all for your great advice. I had a short story idea and, thanks to you guys, I (mostly) got it:

Image

I've been through a lot of wild things in my life, especially in battle. I've been attacked by wolves, shot at, put to sleep, even turned into a toad (I did NOT eat a fly, Yuffie's full of it!). But the Mini spell is...something else.

First comes the strange fog. Then, I feel this strange pressure, like I'm being squeezed from all sides. I try to stay focused and keep my guard up, but soon I can feel my stomach drop as the world expands around me. I try to brush it off, but even after it's happened and I've adjusted to my new scale, a faint thought in the back of my mind never leaves me alone - *I'm small.* I throw my punches and I know as they connect that I'm not doing anything. I've worked all my life to become stronger, but this spell just takes it all away. It's...well, it's weird.

And then, when it's all over and I can catch my breath, I see him. He walks over in that cool stride of his, deliberate and serious. He tries to seem distant, but I can see it in those glowing eyes - he's worried.

In a few moments, Cloud stands over me.

He looks down at me. He seems a bit disturbed, like he can't believe someone he's known all his life could suddenly end up being no taller than his knees. He looks back at the rest of the party and the supplies. "We should have something that'll get you back to normal," he says gruffly. Or, "I'll get the Esuna spell ready." I can see him glance back at me for a moment. He thinks I don't see it.

Then one time, we were in a field finishing a fight. The little tufts of grass I had brushed aside with my foot now came up to my ankles. I was tired and a little wobbly. Cloud came. He said nothing, just watched as Cait Sith went to get the right materia to restore me. I looked up at him. Then, smiling, I leaned against his leg. Solid, toned, strong. I felt a faint heat. I closed my eyes in relief.

I felt his hand rest on my head. My eyes flew open and I looked up. I saw tenderness in those fiery eyes. In that moment, I remembered his promise to me, the one from all those years ago. I could feel myself blushing. He turned his gaze. "Sit tight, okay?"

How could I tell him?

I....I didn't want to be big again. Not yet. I wanted to stay like this for a little while longer. I wanted him to scoop me up in his arms and hold me close, stroke my hair like I were a doll. I wanted him...inside me, filling every single inch of my tiny shrunken body. I wanted him to keep his promise and protect me, always.

How could I tell him? How can I? I'm a warrior, trained to my physical peak. Now here I am, a tiny little kitten. And I'm happy.

I want to be small, Cloud...just for you.

Hey everyone, long time listener, first time caller,

First I’ve got to say, foreverlurk, your stuff is amazing! I’ve been following you on deviantart. I’ve dabbled on there with this stuff but I use my page mostly for saving a library of great works from past SW artists. But I’ve tried my hand at collage work and now the AI generators. Here’s my latest raw attempts from Bing. My prompt was:
tiny adult Hispanic woman in her 30s dressed in giant shiny clear cellophane striped candy wrappers made for swimming standing in the center of a giant hand that is next to a giant glass bowl of giant candies while she eats a gigantic candy that is bigger than her tiny head in both of her tiny hands as her eyes look up in awe at her new tiny miniature view, twilight in the window, wet hair, full body visible in the shot, proportionate body, low angle view, bowl > hand

Really love some of these. This one looks EXACTLY like a friend's daughter. She's a little taller (about 4-11  ) but it really looks like her.

I’m trying to figure out how to use stablefusion to
Clean up the faces, extra fingers, stuff like that but I’m doing it all on a phone so it’s trickier.

Ah, I'm so happy to have opened the floodgates! Knock yourselves out, it IS really addictive, even beyond the kink it's a fun challenge for me to get past the filter, and to make it understand sizey stuff. You guys are also so creative, love to see people come up with all those scenarios.

On a phone? Oh my... I have it runnning locally, so I have no clue if you have access to the same features, but inpainting with a low denoise strength can do wonders for faces and fingers.

Very attractive images, rscholar.

I have tried using editor.imagelabs.net (the website that boasts it can create porn, and signs each image with the watermark “PornLabs.net” in the lower righthand corner). Here is the prompt I gave it:

“A nude woman. She is 8 inches tall and standing next to a bowl of candy.”

As you can see, there is NO problem with censorship issues (the woman is nude and looks anatomically correct, for the most part), but size-wise: if she is 8 inches tall, then that bowl of candy is about 3 inches across. I can fix a lot of imagelabs “mistakes” using Photoshop, but then again I might as well just use Photoshop to make the entire image.

One thing it did well, was get the shadows and lighting correct, at least in my opinion.

It seems weirdly hard to get AI to render a classic King Kong handheld -- a giant closed fist clutching a struggling girl. Either it says "Unsafe Content" or some nonsense, or it spits up palm holds and hand-adjacent stuff. Still tinkering.
