From what I've seen there are no items in the game at all or any status effects.
On the somewhat bright side, Jimmy's Lab is centered on a workbench where his shrink ray is visible, so it kind've sets the scene.

The characters just aren't very attractive though. A robot girl, muscular girls, an old woman, and stylized blob drawings. April is okay, but that is it.
