The John carried Dawn out of the bathroom and into a room that was totally covered in huge tropical plants, all in giant pots. Kong, or the John, squatted down. He slowly lowered Dawn to the ground, opening his hand and releasing her. She dropped about 4 feet to the ground. Ground? She was standing on a 20-foot square marble tile. She looked up and instead of the sun, she saw a fluorescent light fixture. The giant ape was just squatting there staring at her. Then a finger the size of a telephone pole was extended towards her and began to knock her sideways, first one way, then the other. Dawn started was walk backwards to get away from it, but the monstrous hand would curl over her and block her path. She looked to her left and saw the door was open. She turned and bolted for it. The ape roared and a hand struck out and caught her, wrapping around her body and lifting her up, directly in front of his angry face. It suddenly dawned (sorry) on her, she had seen this before in an old technology called a “movie” from the 20th century. But how could this be happening to her and why was she in a room, not a jungle?

Kong slackened his grip on her, opening his fingers as she rolled his hand back so his palm was face up. Dawn sat there in his palm as he stared at her. The other hand appeared and two fingers came towards her, taking hold of the rope around her waist. It had been tied in a bow and the giant took hold of one bitter end and pulled it loose, untying the knot and unwrapping it from around her waist.
