This real photo from the Washington Post has a strange perspective. I bet a good story could be wrapped around it.

That is strange. I'm trying to figure out how this could happen by forced perspective, and I just don't see it.

Compare the soldier to the size of the guardrail, then the civilians to the guardrail. The solder would be about 8-9 feet tall if this was a real untouched picture.

Hopefully, everybody can see webp files? It's not just a chrome thing?
The floor they are standing on is on a 45° angle. And the soldiers are on a platform. And this is a very telephoto lens, so zero reduction on size as things get further from the camera. Still strange.
