Exhausted, Alex falls asleep on Mrs. Reynolds belly as she lies on her bed.

Alex and Missy were both very happy when Missy got home from her weekend away. Alex was a little surprised at how much she actually missed being her "dolly".

With Mr. Reynolds home from his trip and the kids back home, things went back to "normal". Alex went back to wearing doll clothes or homemade clothes, made by Mrs. Reynolds, though Missy tried to make her something too. A silk handkerchief and a cloth napkins became dresses. Mrs. Reynolds, for some reason, would usually pick up Alex and peel off her clothes and redress her in something else instead of letting Alex dress and undress herself.

Despite Alex's earlier protests, Mrs. Reynolds insists on feeding her when they have any meals that are not "finger food". I guess vegetarian chili is not too easy to eat without a spoon, even if the spoon is bigger than you. Alex knows tiny doll size silverware is available, but for some reason, Mrs. Reynolds won't buy any for her. Alex has learned that questioning Mrs. Reynolds is usually not a good idea, so she doesn't bring these things up anymore.

Missy told Mrs. Reynolds she wants to have a fancy dress up dinner. Alex wasn't too thrilled about the doll dress she would have to wear, but it didn't much "convincing" by Mrs. Reynolds to wear it.

Mrs. Reynolds came up with a ballerina outfit somewhere just Alex's size. Having not danced since she was a child, Alex was reluctant to perform, but Mrs. Reynolds changed her mind, much to Missy's delight.

Months pass and holidays come and go in the Reynolds household. Alex does her best to get into the spirit, though she has little choice but to participate.

Thank you for another week of Alex's tiny adventures. It certainly seems as though she has settled into her role of family pet and plaything, at least as much as possible, which is probably wise since it doesn't seem she will ever be a Big Girl again. This is also shown by Alex missing being Missy's doll while she was gone for a while.

In many of the stories we've visited on this forum, the "giant" usually lays their hand palm up down and allows the "tiny" to climb aboard. Mrs. Reynolds is not of that nature. She reaches down and "Kong grabs" Alex by wrapping her fingers and thumb around her body from behind, often with little or no warning, and lifts her up. Often the first clue that she is getting picked up is when the log sized fingers and thumb suddenly appear from behind her and wrapping around to her front. It's not that Mrs. Reynolds is uncaring for Alex's feelings, she's just.....well, pragmatic. Mrs. Reynolds does nothing without reason and purpose, even if she doesn't give any explanation for her actions. Her parents were poor immigrants and scratched out a living in their new country, barely getting by and passing away at a relatively young age. She never wanted to live that way, thus her marriage to Mr. Reynolds, a much older, but wealthy scientist and professor. Her parents were not prone to show affection either. Hugs or kisses to the children were few and far between. Not to say her marriage was totally cold, she has Missy and Joey to disprove that theory, plus she welcomed Alex into her home as a foreign exchange student and treated her as well as she would treat her own daughter. She also started a business on her own from scratch and works hard to make it successful. Mrs. Reynolds believes time wasted is time lost so she does waste time on pleasantries, such as grabbing Alex when it is required to move or dress her. While it is sometimes startling when she is not expecting it, Alex doesn't really mind. Her soft, warm hand and fingers feel like getting a hug from a favorite aunt, though it is from an aunt that is.........very well fed, if you know what I mean. Being grabbed by Mr. Reynolds was more like being molested by a cold, slimy octopus. But at least, Mrs. Reynolds keeps him away from her now, so she doesn't have to be concerned about him anymore. I guess Alex feels being picked up and carried in this manner makes her feel a little more secure than riding in an open palm, 50 or 60 feet off of the ground. Being undressed and dressed by a giant is something Alex would rather not have to endure, but at 5 inches tall there's no use fighting it, and knowing Mrs. Reynolds was not blessed at birth with a long span of patience, it better to just submissively comply and get it over with.

Her nightgown, being of a very lightmaterial, was nearly torn off when Mrs. Reynolds unexpectedly reached out and grabbed her.


When Alex was taking too long to get dressed herself, Mrs. Reynolds impatiently decides to give her a "hand".


Being "hugged" with Mrs. Reynolds hand and fingers totally encircling her tiny body from ankles to armpits is a rather secure way to travel.


Mrs. Reynolds has become quite adept at removing Alex's clothing and redressing her without consulting her in what she would be wearing.




But, Alex no longer has to suffer Mr. Reynolds abuse anymore so she is contented with Mrs. Reynolds and Missy's "handling" of her.


And occasionally, in the evenings when Mr. Reynolds is away and the kids are sleeping, Mrs. Reynolds will get a little uncharacteristically........frivilous.

Also LOVE her developing relationship with Mrs. Reynolds! Hope it's going where I think it is!

Speaking as a tiny who has been picked up by giants and giantesses many times, I would also prefer the giant hand to be laid down near me and then let me climb on when I am ready. (I usually hold onto the Thumb for dear life!) However, after you have been grabbed and swept up in a giant hand as much as I have (and Alex has), you kind of get used to it...it's one of the things a little toy girl has to become accustomed to, just like having no privacy to speak of, and living in an aquarium or cage, and getting hand baths (which I enjoy), and being at the beck and call of your Mistress (or Master) and her children. It's not really so bad after a while and you know it could be a LOT worse with different owners. So you count your blessings and enjoy the small life as much as you can. It's like being a live-in servant but with no life of your own. (Or any control over what you are wearing today, which is the worst thing!)

(I thought you explained very well why Mrs. R. has a habit of grabbing Alex because of her background and how she lives her life. It's not so much that she is treating Alex like a pet of no consequence, it's just that she is practical and pragmatic and wants to save as much time as she can.)

As you said, this method of being picked up does make the tiny girl feel more safe and secure when she is riding in the Hand...you just have to be prepared to be snatched up at any time and then it's not so bad.

You picked up on Mrs. Reynolds demeanor in handling Alex very well, though I think she dressed Alex in the ribbon outfit more as something deep down she feels is missing from HER life, but she is too disciplined to permit herself such a waggish desire.

On this particularly nice morning, Missy wanted to play outside, but Mrs. Reynolds was busy on the computer and the telephone with an upset client. Missy, getting tired of waiting for her mother, picked up Alex and even though she was forbidden to, she took Alex, who was wearing just a simple hand sewn sun dress, out into the back yard.

Missy sets Alex down on the ground in the garden. This is the first time she has been outside without the protective watch of Mrs. Reynolds and it's a bit unnerving for her. Missy is not really paying attention to her, and she has to dodge a few of Missy's missteps. Then Missy says, "Oooh. A butterfly."

Missy runs off after the butterfly, leaving Alex alone in the garden.

Alex could no longer see Missy. She didn't want to try to make it to the house as she would have to cross an open area and she couldn't open the door anyway. She sat down and waited for Missy to return or for Mrs. Reynolds to come out looking for her. Then she heard some movement in the grass nearby. She looked and saw the grass moving, then out stepped a hideous monster.

Alex flees from the monster.

Stopping a moment to rest and get her bearings, another monster appeared......

Alex escaped the spider and found a place to rest. Dog-sized bumble bees began harassing her so she didn't notice she was next to a deck and the toys lying around in the dirt while she was jumping around, swatting at them.
