And even worse........KittyAlex has to go to the Barbie Vet Clinic.

Her first Christmas after being shrunken, Alex had no gift to give Missy.....so, with some help for Mrs. Reynolds, she gave herself as a present.

And then there was that day when Mrs. Reynolds got caught up in a phone call and Missy and Alex got into the finger paints.......

In the early days of the story, Alex being helped getting ready for bed by Mrs. Reynolds. The velcro in the back of the doll dresses is sometimes a little difficult to....handle.

And then came the day Missy got a "My Little Pony-Rainbow Pony" play set.........Alex had rainbow colored hair for a month.

I did the reflection on this pic by inverting the image, then making it transparent to try to match it to the pony's refection which was already on the background picture. I think it came out pretty good.

Where we left off..........


The giant tells Alex to stand up and she complies. "Now.....lose the dress." Alex hesitates, tears welling up in her eyes. "You take it off....or I will." Imperceptible to the giant, Alex's hands, trembling, raise up to her shoulders.......she slips one of the straps off of her shoulder, as the giant's sadistic grin gets wider.

"STOP !!!!!"

The giant's hand reached out and behind Alex.

Ever see those finger vibrator, about the same size as little Alex here. I'd bet one of those would keep any tiny in line.

The giant's finger wrapped around Alex and lifted her into the air.

The giant lifts Alex into the air and looks straight into her fearful eyes, his gaze intensifying.........

Then he says, "I KNOW you......."

The giant set her back down on the desk.

"You're that foreign chick from English class. We were wondering what ever happened to you. You just dropped off the face of the Earth after graduation. We all kinda figured you were with one of the college guys you had been dating. You certainly thought you were too good to go out with anyone from High School."

Alex looked up at the giant's face and a tear came to her eye. "I'm sorry, but you are mistaken. In my country, it is not respectable for a girl to ask a boy out. We wait until we are asked out. No boy at school ever asked me out. I thought you were cute and you were always so nice in class. I was hoping you would ask me out, but you never did." Looking down at the table, she said, "I spent every weekend at home alone."

Taken aback by this revelation, the giant sat back in his chair and pulled his hand back from Alex. Dumbfounded and feeling like an ass, he was silent for a few moments. Putting his hand up to cover his eyes, he said, "I'm sorry......for acting like such a lecherous pig.

She stood and walked over to him and put her hand on one of his fingers. Alex smiled for the first time since was separated from Missy in the garden. and said, "It's okay".

Uncovering his eyes, he quietly said, "But what happened to you? How did you get so small?"

Alex sat down on the table in front of the giant and related the story of how she accidently drank the growth hormone and its effect on her from adding too much sugar. Then she talked about her life since she had been miniaturized and how much she loved Missy, Joey and Mrs. Reynolds and how much they must be worried about her."

Handing her one his mother's lace handkerchiefs, Alex wraps it around her. She looks up at the giant and says, "You're name is Chris, right?"

Taken aback, Chris replies, "You knew my name?"

"Yes, of course I did. I sat next to you for a year of English Comp, hoping you would ask me out."

Chris just stood there, hands in his pockets with nothing to say.........

Without warning, Chris picked up Alex and wrapped her in a knitted potholder. She looked at him with some apprehension. Then he said, "I'm taking you home".

Next door, the Reynold's house. I did that on purpose to make people wonder if he meant HER home or HIS.

The doorbell rings and Mrs. Reynolds opens the door to see the boy from next door standing there. She asks what he wants, aggravated already from her frantic search for Alex.

"I believe this belongs to you." he says as he extends his hand containing Alex.

Mrs. Reynolds looks down at Alex, but her expression doesn't change. "Come in", she says, then "Have a seat. I'll make us some coffee. Set her down on the table if you would."

She returns a few minutes later and sets down the cups. The silence is thick as concrete for a few minutes, Mrs. Reynolds and Chris sitting across the table from each other, Alex reclining on Mrs. Reynolds cellphone, looking at Chris, smiling, though she doesn't really know if she's smiling at him or that he brought her home. Mrs. Reynolds thanks Chris for returning Alex. Then she goes into the story about the deportation letter, the accident that shrunk Alex and how important it is for no one to know about her.

Chris listens intently. He agrees to keeping silent about Alex, then after a long pause, he asks if he could see her again...............

Happy to be back home, Alex is happy to endure Mrs. Reynolds petting and Missy's wanting her to dress up in doll clothes.

That night, Alex began having dreams of her life before she had been miniaturized, a life she had just about forgotten........
