"Is she a french singer?" asked Jessica, "Or maybe a supermodel?"
"People like that don't go to prison" said Lilah. "She's probably some local junkie, right Max?"
"Oh, maybe she's a tough criminal with a dramatic backstory?" kept imagining Jessica.
"Or maybe it's a he?" Lilah was loving being a contratian on everything.
They were trying to peek into my grocery bag standing on tiptoes in their terrarium knowing that there's another shrunken person in there.
"Let me narrow it down fro you," I unterrupted. "It seems that it's mostly the local people from our town who end up being sold in that store. And it's someone you might actually remember."
But I wanted to suprise my wife first.
"Honey, could you come to the bedroom please?" I shouted, "I have something to show you!"
"Okay, coming!" she said from another room, "But it better not be another scene from Shrek with your dick in the main role."
"In my defence, I was super bored back then." I smiled at her when she entered the room. "But I won't be bored for much longer, because..."
"What?" she said.
"Because..." I've prompted her again.
"Oh my god, you've bought yourself another one of those" she waved at the terrarium. "Good for you, I'm going back to whatever I was doing..."
"Wait! But aren't you curious who that is?" I said playfully.
"No, not really" Emma shrugged. Jessica and Lilah were both waiting for the reveal with excitement.
"It's someone you kno-ow..." I've reched into the shopping bag slowly. "It's someone you've mi-issed!"
"What?" Emma's face changed from indifferent to confused.
"It's..." I've pulled the box with a tiny person and broght it up to her face. "It's your best friend, Nicole!"
"Oh... Wow!" Emma was lost for words.
Nicole was Emma's best friend since school. She didn't go to our school but she ended up hanging out with our nerd group a lot. Emma and Nicole kept being best friends long after school. Helping each other out, going together to concerts and other events, just hanging around at each other's places. Until one day she married and moved states with her husband. They've kept in touch online for some time but one day Nicole just disappeared.
"Wow! Nicole!" Emma took the box with her friend from me and held it with both hands trying to get a better look at her old friend. "It's really you!"
"Hi Emma!" Nicole said with nervously. "Max told me you'll be excited when he bought me... Well, here I am!"
Nicole spread her hands wide to show that here she is. She was still wearing ugly doll dress from the store.
"Oh Nicole! Let's get you out of there!" she opened the box and grabbed Nicole from there. Emma and me both sat on the bed and she put her friend between us. "How did you end up getting shrunk?"
Jessica and Lilah carefully sistened to every word.
"Oh... I'd rather not talk about it," she said. "But Max will probably tell you anyway so it's better if I say it. I've drank and driven..."
"And that's it?" Emma was confused.
"Not really. I.. I killed someone..." she started crying. "It was five years ago. I've spent more than four years in prison and when it got overflown they've shrunken some of us with longer terms to free space for the new ones. They sent us to a prison for shrunken people. It was so horrible there. When they've asked me if I want to stay or be sold I've signed all the papers immediately." she kept crying.
"Oh, poor Nicole," my wife tried to pet her on her head as if she was a hamster and ended up just comforting her with her hand as she sobbed. "Don't cry, you're at our place now. You'll be happy here!"
Nicole stood up and looked around for the first time. She looked up at me, at Emma. She noticed Jessica and Lilah in their terrarium and they waved at her.
"See?" said Emma to Nicole. "Max already has a home for you and even two roommates!"
Nicole squinted her eyes at the terrarium.
"Who are they? And why are they naked?" she asked.
"Oh, you might remember these two," Emma looked at them. "These are the jerks who tortured us for fun at school. And they're naked because that's how Max keeps them. They're his sex toys."
"I do remember them!" Nicole laughed. "Just because I was friends with your guys they spread rumors about me online and ruined my reputation at my school for the rest of my time there. It's nice to know that they've got their karma."
Then she looked back up at us.
"But am I now..." she paused nervously "a sex toy too?"
"What?" said Emma. "Wait, is she?" she looked at me.
"Maybe?..." I shrrugged and mischievously. "Definitely?"
My wife thought for a moment.
"Well, Nicole..." started Emma. "It's not as bad as you think. Actually, you'll see for youself, you're going to like it. Look how happy those two are? Thy've got everything they need here!"
Nicole stared up at Emma in disbelief. "Emma? But... But I'm your best friend..."
"Of course you are! We're still friends!" Emma said happily. "But Max bought you fair and square with his personal money. We agreed he can spend it on whatever he wants and we don't argue about it, and I spent my fun money on things I like and he has no say in that! And after all, you knew what you're getting into when you signed those papers, right?"
"Emma, I didn't have a choice!" she yelled "When you're in hell, you'll sign away anything!"
"But still, Nicole," my wife continued, "You've killed a person. There has to be a punishment for that."
"It was five years ago!" she cried out "I've spent file horrible years in awful places for this..."
"Then you're going to like living at our place!" concluded Emma. "You'll see, it's not so bad! It's fun, they even do movie scenes together..."
"What?" Nicole glanced at two naked women in terrarium and they waved at her again.
"And I do want to catch up with you terribly! And I will a bit later if Max lets me." she looked at me. "Will you?"
"I guess you two can talk while I play with her later." I said. "Just don't let her run aroud without me here"
"Of course." Emma said and glanced at her phone "Oh well, I gotta go now. I have a meet up with my friends tonight. They won't believe what happened to Nicole."
She stood up on her way out said to me, "Have fun!" and than looked around the room and added "All of you!"

Tbh I thought Emma would've taken Nicole with her to show her off. Or the girls would've gotten a man to play with. Would be pretty cool to see M/ffm content

I would think Emma would have kept Nicole as her personal pampered little pet but been far more abusive to the other girls.

Max did pay a lot for her, but there's still a personal connection between Emma and Nicole. You can overlook that if you want to, it's your story, but it seems as though Nicole would rather take punishment from Emma than being another dick toy for Max

I actually didn't plan to overlook it. Their connection will definitely be there. It's just that Nicole does not belong to her.
