Lara the Slowly Shrinking Stripper

Post by Aussie_Lurker » Wed Jan 08, 2025 10:27 am

Yeah, I know I know, I can already hear everyone saying: Another story starring Lara? You must be obsessed or something? To which I would say: Guilty as charged. There is a reason she is my muse....I think she is the sexiest woman I've ever known ;).

I can also already hear people groaning at my use....even overuse....of certain SW tropes-ones that I have used in all my other stories. Again, guilty as charged. They may be tropes, but I enjoy them, and I hope most of you do too.

So, anyway, this is actually a rewrite of a much shorter story I did last year, when I first discovered AI as a writing tool. Since then I have become much better at using AI to make more expansive and detailed stories, and so I hope you guys enjoy this re-write. If you guys have any suggestions for improvements and additions to the story, I would love to hear them-either here or in my PM's. As such, don't be surprised if you see updated versions of this story in the future.

Enjoy

Hi, I just gave this a real quick scan but it looks like it's worth a read to me. I shouldn't worry at all that you feature the same character in several different stories. There are a number of very good reasons to do this and the work of a vast number of authors and film directors supports this position. So if it works for you as an author, keep doing it.

The only thing that I think I would suggest at this is related to the length of many of the paragraphs and the work as a whole. I may have lost some paragraph breaks when unzipping the doc on my end but some of them seem to be huge. Maybe look into that if you have time.

With regard to length, it's really monolithic. I get about 63 pages if I were to put it on paper. That's quite a bit for a single sitting. I think it would help your readers if you could break this into 6 to 10 chapters. Around 8 would be more or less optimal. As it is I found it very difficult to maintain my place.

Personally, I think the story that you're telling here is worth the time that would take.

Thank you for the advice. Luckily, the story is easily broken up into separate chapters. Because she is slowly shrinking, the story focuses on her plights at various different sizes, with each size more or less corresponding to a single chapter.

Just FYI. Be on the lookout for an updated version of this story later today, as well as a chapter by chapter upload before the end of the weekend. I was reading over the full story yesterday, and picked up on a number of small-but annoying-errors. Mostly spelling, but also one or two minor continuity issues. I am in the process of correcting those mistakes, and will post the revised version before the end of today.

I did nothing that he picked up that magnifying glass about three timed in one paragraph. ;) it happens.

I was just checking that paragraph. No mention of picking it up 3 times-though the magnifying glass is referred to 3 separate times-twice with him looking through it, and once with him setting it down again, before he starts to physically inspect her. I did edit the passage to make it clearer, though.

Great! Good luck with this one! Please let me know if you find an engaged audience somewhere.

I like it. It's not my favourite story for sure, but I really enjoyed it and I'd love to read more from you :)
