When the "Shrinking Virus" epedemic had run it's course, new laws regarding the victims, called "Tinies" now, had to be passed. The governments of most countries decided that the tinies would be stripped of their rights and their families or spouses would have the decision as to their status.

Jennifer had married at 19 to a 38 year old very wealthy tech executive. Only a year after they married, she fell victim to the virus shrinking to 5 inches tall. Her husband took her to a lawyer to discuss the matter. After a private meeting with the lawyer, an attractive 27 year old blonde, Jennifer was brought into the room and placed on the desk. The first thing she noticed was BOTH their wedding rings setting on some forms. The conversation that followed devistated her:

Lawyer: "Okay, Mr. Jones. Just sign here, here and here." Pause while he signs. "Okay. You are now officially divorced and Jennifer legal owner."

Jennifer was shocked. Divorced? Owner?

Seeing her facial expression, the lawyer explained to her that this was the new law regarding the status of tinies. Mr. Jones is no longer her husband, but her owner.

Turning back to Mr. Jones, the lawyer touched his hand and said:

"Saturday night at seven. Sounds good. That restaurant is rather fancy but I think you'll approve of my dress."

My girlfriend and I bought an old stone cottage way back in the woods. It hadn't been lived in for several decades and was in need of serious renovation. We redid the kitchen and bathroom first, the bedroom and living room then started cleaning out the basement. While trying to tear off some boards attached to a wall, I found a room. Actually, it seemed to be a storage room as it was filled with bottles, pots, kettles and an old wood stove. A few of the bottles had labels on them and some were still full and sealed. I gathered up some of them and put them on the kitchen table while I pulled up the Internet and began to investigate the history of the cottage and tried to identify what was in the labeled bottles.

It turned out that in the early 20th century, a coven of alleged witches lived in this cottage. They spent their time making medicines and potions for the local people who paid them for cures for anything from warts to rheumatoid arthritis. My work phone rang and I went outside to take it as the stone walls interfered with the signal. When the business was concluded, I hung up and walked back into the house and called out to my girlfriend.......

"Honey, where are you? You have to see this stuff. It's amazing. Real Harry Potter shit. Some of the potions, according to this website really work. Some work for healing, some for.....well, not good shit. This one, it says Reducing Lotion on the label, this website says it really did some wild things. Where are you at? Get in here. But don't touch anything and for God's sake, don't get any of that lotion on your skin......Hon? Hon?"
