The Demand For Writing Commissions

Post by Flippity-Floosy » Thu Oct 23, 2025 8:22 pm

Ello'!

So, long story short, I'm willing to do writing commissions since I need some more money on the side and I'm gauging the interest on this site and on DA and seeing who would be interested in them. Haven't fully established when I'm going to start but seeing how much demand their is on this site alone.

I would probably set prices for $5 = 500 words, $10 = 1,000, etc. And post some links to some stories I've written over the years, finished and unfinished. It wouldn't be my first rodeo, but it has been a while since I've done commissions.

Who would be interested in them?

Can you link to some of your recent public writing so we have an idea of what your writing is like?

I can vouch for the quality of the writing offered (big fan of her stories), but as it so happens I'm also broke

That's good to hear! Unfortunately writing is like music or any other art. Aside from the obvious ends (like comparing the Godfather to say, Birdemic), there is a lot of subjectivity to "good".

Wow, I'm late to coming back to this. I hadn't gotten a reply for a while so I figured the interest wasn't there. Still, glad to get a few replies. I'm no longer in as much of a financial strait thankfully, so I'm not as readily available. Still, if you're still interested in reading them or if I make an offer in the future, I can get a few links up on here on (and off) this very site. Just give me a tic.

NOTE: Most of my stories are unfinished, so I guess that hurts my credibility a lot. Still, I hope it shows my overall writing style.

Here the one I just posted, although it's still in early stages. Just a part of a series I'm planning on.

A Series of Koonago Stories:

The Pet Transition: (Note: Definitely an older story that needs deep touching up)

A Trip To Remember

Small Changes

Small Matters (Lol, terrible similar title to the one above but different story overall)

This comment gives me all the warm fuzzies in my tummy. Thanks a lot! I hope to actually be consistent one of these days. I definitely need to start making time to make these stories flow, especially once I'm settled.
