Awesome pictures! Did you use any AI to make these pictures.

Thank you! I’ve only used AI on two images I’ve made mainly for the backdrop/setting solely because I couldn’t find the stock images I wanted for them, the rest of my artwork hasn’t used any AI.

Then well done on not submitting to the great AI God! At least that makes you an original creator.Thegreatestjordan wrote: ↑Wed Jul 16, 2025 8:57 pmThank you! This place has become AI prompt paradise, where anyone can create any fake imagery of their choosing. And you've only got to look at 'X' to know what harm that is doing to real people in the real world. Where it's basically a tool for turds with no talent or conscience.

Thank you! AI is great for some applications but I don't see it overtaking hard work of humans, I'd rather it be used for assistance like any other tool rather than a replacement. Half the fun is creating the image itself

Here's some more recent work I did:

Same, I'm against Generative AI, like text-to-image becasue it uses a lot of electricity and causes pollution.Thegreatestjordan wrote: ↑Fri Feb 13, 2026 9:53 pmThank you! But as a tool for assistance, like pointers on a document, or an outside POV, very useful. Never to write something from scratch, either. I need to put my own effort into the work, if you know how to use AI well and fair, in a way you hardly use, it just assists you.
Letting AI do everything for you means that you own work, the AI did most of it, you have an idea, but you didn't create anything, the AI did.
But I won't damn the users anywhere, I offer constructive tips to lessen the use if anything. It is the AI companies causing the damage in many forms at multiple levels from the enviroment to lobbying governments. I know AI companies are spending tens of millions of dollars lobbying in the US right now for very one-sided laws and protections, so much greed.

Is AI "art"? Well, yes, it is but that doesn't mean it's right or wrong if you like or don't like it.blackbat wrote: ↑Sat Feb 14, 2026 4:39 am

(Disclaimer: I am fully against creating AI art for political reasons and attempting to pass it off as real as there are a lot of stupid people in this world who believe the AI image or video is real and I don't know enough about the pollution it allegedly creates so I don't have an opinion on that yet)
I'm not a big fan of AI art, because as Jordan says, half the fun is creating the image. The other half is searching for the images you want to use in your collage. As for me, sometimes I have an idea, or someone gives me an idea for a collage, and I search for images to create it. Other times, I find an image of a lady or a background image or a hand image, then build a collage from there, searching for images to fill all the aspects of the idea.
When I was kid, Cher did a commercial for Bally's where she said, "Face it, if it came in a bottle, everyone would have a beautiful body". And now we have Ozempic, which is a "beautiful body from a bottle". AI is Ozempic for art. If you can't make collages, but still want to create a picture, you use AI. I'm not gonna knock either one of these two examples. The results are different, but neither one is right or wrong, it just depends on what you want to see. I don't think it's for "lazy people", because some of the AI image makers have said it took them many, many attempts to get the image they wanted, having to tweak their request over and over and over again. Personally, I just scroll past most of the AI threads on this forum, though a few of the creators make images I do like so I'll follow their threads.
In a nutshell, AI vs. Collaging is like politics. If you are a Democrat and you vote strictly Democrat, you're wrong. If you're a Republican and you vote strictly Republican, you're wrong. If you vote for the candidate that has the policies you agree with AND they have a history of staying with their beliefs, not changing once elected, you're right.
