Hey folks, lately I've been on a mission to finally clean up the absolute disaster that is my bookmark collection . I've been saving links for years from forums, blogs, Reddit threads, random websites, communities... you name it. At the time I always think, "I'll definitely come back to this later," but then when I actually need something, it takes forever to find it again. Browser bookmarks were fine in the beginning, but once you end up with hundreds (or probably thousands lol), they're just not cutting it anymore.
A few weeks back I started testing a couple of bookmark managers, especially ones focused on adult content since that's mostly what I wanted to organize separately. Honestly, my experience hasn't been great so far. One service looked pretty decent at first glance, but then I noticed the privacy options were really limited, and that's kind of a dealbreaker for me. I don't want everything visible by default or have to dig through settings just to keep my own stuff private. Another one seemed way more secure, but the UI felt so clunky and outdated that I gave up after using it for a few days. It just wasn't enjoyable to use.
What I'd really love is something that's simple, fast, and actually makes organizing easy instead of turning it into another chore. Tags are honestly a must-have for me because they're so much more flexible than endless folders. A single bookmark can fit into multiple categories, and with tags it's way easier to find stuff later without remembering exactly where I filed it.
While searching around, I also came across this best directory, which lists different bookmark-related services. It gave me a few ideas, but I'd still rather hear genuine opinions from people who've actually been using these platforms for a while instead of reading reviews that feel sponsored or overly positive.
So, has anyone here found a bookmark manager that's genuinely worth sticking with over the long run? Any hidden gems you'd recommend, or maybe some platforms I should stay away from? I'd really appreciate some honest feedback and real-world experiences before I waste more time trying random services. Thanks!
Anyone using a decent adult bookmark manager?

Why not a local (stays on the computer, not shared anywhere) document with links and hide it in your folders? If on mobile a local (stays on mobile, not shared anywhere) notepad app.Edgard wrote: ↑Fri Jun 19, 2026 11:07 amHey everyone, I've been trying to get my bookmarks under control lately and I'm curious what other people are using. Over the years I've accumulated loads of links from different sites, forums, blogs and communities, and it's becoming a pain trying to find things again when I actually need them. Regular browser bookmarks are a bit of a mess once the list gets long enough. A few weeks ago I tried a couple of bookmark tools aimed at adult content, mainly because I wanted something a bit more organised and private. One of them looked alright at first but had almost no privacy settings, which put me off straight away. Another was probably more secure, but the interface was so awkward that I stopped using it after a few days. What I'm really looking for is something simple that lets me organise things properly without making everything public by default. Tagging would be a big plus too. I find tags a lot easier to work with than endless folders, especially when a bookmark fits into more than one category. Has anyone found a service that's actually worth sticking with? Or maybe some that should be avoided completely? I'd be interested in hearing real experiences rather than promotional reviews.
Got Windows 11? Notepad is decent or a free office suite or Microsoft Office if you have it. Could even export/Print to PDF with most word processing softwares now so you can have active links.
Mac OS: TextEdit is very good for this
Mobile: Unsure of an iOS app on the Apple Store but for Android Google Play store, ColorNote is a classic for this.
