Asians have this trope of romantic or, perish the thought, sexual advances being the most offensive and outrageous thing in the world for some reason.

The Japanese don't even have a word for 'kiss' (well, technically they do, but it's more like kinda a medical term that just means 'stick mouths together'... their current word for kiss is just the english one)

Found the movie English-subbed online, skip to 37:27 for that scene. From what I gather, the guy's the all-work no-play type and has orders to kill anyone he meets there. Another scene starting 47:32 shows he's got reason to be wary.
