Aha! Now we know that Bert Gordon DID save some of the unused film for his "private archive"! Also that there was film that was cut and not used in the finished film. So those many feet of exposed film are out there somewhere, waiting to be discovered...we hope!
(I would give a lot to see that unused scene of the girls' moonlight skinny dip)
I did read somewhere that June Kenny actually had a friend make her "Doll Dress" because Gordon WAS very cheap and she wanted a really beautiful dress to wear for the movie...she did look like a "living doll" even if she didn't have a lot to hold up that bustier dress. (Did I say that...? I'm so bad)

Yes. To the best of my knowledge Bert kept all of the outtake reels. In my opinion the night-for-day filter and the dye they added to cloud the water made the actual footage of the skinny dip scene less than awesome. But the actual filming was a fabulous thing to watch.
Only June had been provided with a tiny bathing suit and Bert felt that it covered too much. So all three of the little lovelies were instructed to do the scene in the all together. This was the last scene that we filmed and by that point Laurie and Marlene had both had become rather uninhibited about being eleven inches high and nude in front of the crew.
June was still very reluctant. She was standing there in her little, white one-piece; arms folded abd feet set. It was clear that June didn't want to do it and Bert wasn't able to sway her. Eventually John Hoyt intervened. In a rather firm tone for John, he told June that he wanted to have a word with her. With that he picked her up and tucked her into the breast pocket of his jacket. After excusing himself, he went into the changing room. About five minutes later, John returned to the set.
Reaching into his jacket, John produced a tiny, blushing and absolutely naked June Kenney. She followed each of Bert's directions to the letter for the rest of the scene. Nude and frolicking in the sink with the others, June would occasionally glance up to John as if looking for his approval. John would give her a little smile and a nod. He would never tell me how he did it. And I never saw June’s little bathing suit again.
One of the interesting questions that Alan Ng from Film Threat asked was regarding the surprisingly close on and off set relationship that developed between June and John Hoyt. Since it did involve an actual fainting spell, this thread might actually be a good place to relate that story too.
